THE Youth Community Transformation Club (KKBT) was officially launched at the Youth Centre in Bandar Seri Begawan yesterday, along with an exhibition set up by the bureaus under KKBT.
The guest of honour was YB Siti Rozaimeriyanty binti Dato Seri Laila Jasa Haji Abdul Rahman, a Legislative Council (LegCo) member, who later presented Letters of Appointment to assigned KKBT members for the 2018-2020 session.
Also present was Hajah Noor Maslina binti Haji Sulaiman, the Chief Officer (Youth Section) of the Youth and Sports Department, under the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports.
The event began with a recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah and a Doa Selamat, led by Adi Hamdi bin Haji Aminuddin, the Chief of KKBT’s Religious Bureau, followed with a brief speech by the guest of honour.
The guest of honour also toured the exhibition, which was intended as a display of KKBT’s progress and achievements since its establishment.
Earlier, a team-building activity was held at the Taman Haji Sir Muda Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien to open opportunities and to a closer rapport among the members.
The Youth Centre’s KKBT of Bandar Seri Begawan was first formed on August 27, 2017, to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the cornerstone laying for the Youth Centre building in the capital.
KKBT is sub-divided into several operation groups, known as bureaus, for religious, educational, entrepreneurial, community, art and culture, and sports and recreational purposes. Since its formation, KKBT has received 300 member registrations.
