IN PREPARATION for the upcoming month of Ramadhan, 17 mosques, suraus and religious halls across Belait District received donations in the form of bottled mineral water and dates provided by Serikandi Group of Companies in a ceremony held at Mohammad Jamalul Alam Mosque, Kuala Belait.
The event started with the recitation of Doa Kesyukuran.
The guest of honour was the Head Religious Officer at the Belait District Haji Asminan bin Haji Chuchu. Serikandi Group of Companies Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Shaikh Haji Khalid bin Shaikh Haji Ahmad was also present.
The event continued with the handover of donations to the representatives of Mohammad Jamalul Alam Mosque; RPN Kampong Pandan Mosque; Pekan Seria Mosque; STKRJ Lorong Tiga Selatan Seria Mosque; Zainab Mosque; Kampong Sungai Liang Mosque; Kampong Sungai Teraban Mosque; Al-Mashhor Mosque; Kampong Bukit Sawat Mosque; Kampong Labi Mosque; Kampong Merangking Religious Hall; Kampong Sukang Religious Hall; Kampong Melilas Religious Hall; Ar-Rahmah 3rd Batallion Surau; Panaga Police Surau; Mashhor General Contractor Surau; and Haji Ibrahim Surau by the guest of honour and Serikandi Group of Companies CEO.
“We plan to continue this tradition every year and hope that all Muslims in the country will have a blessed Ramadhan,” said Shaikh Haji Khalid.
