YESTERDAY’S pre-dawn talk titled, ‘Virtues and Excellence in Ramadhan’, dealt with the spiritual rewards given to those resolutely observing the fast during the holy month.
“Allah the Almighty brings us the month of Ramadhan, which is abundant with blessings. It is also a month during which Allah the Almighty erases all our wrongdoings by forgiving our sins and answering our supplications,” said Ustaz Haji Hairulazmi bin Abdullah, an Istinbat Officer from the State Mufti’s Office under the Prime Minister’s Office.
“To gain those valuable rewards from Allah the Almighty, we must increase our good deeds and religious practices, as this is the month that we can reap multiple rewards.”
Minister of Defence II Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof and Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office Dato Seri Paduka Awang Haji Abdul Mokti bin Haji Mohd Daud were present.
Deputy Permanent Secretary (Administrative and Financial Affairs) at the Ministry of Religious Afairs (MoRA) Roslan bin Haji Taja’ah and Deputy Permanent Secretary (Policy and Religious) at the MoRA Haji Mohd Serudin bin Haji Timbang were also present.
Initiated by the MoRA through its Mosque Affairs Department, the Islamic Da’wah Centre and the Islamic Syiar Development Division, the talk is part of the weekly Masjidku Makmur, Negaraku Berkat programme to encourage the presence of congregants for mass Subuh prayer at the Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Mosque.
