IN THE spirit of giving during Ramadhan, eight underprivileged families from Tutong District were treated by Baiduri Bank to shopping and Sungkai at the Hua Ho Petani Mall in Tutong District yesterday.

The campaign is an initiative by Baiduri Bank to give back to the community. Yesterday’s activity was the first of four events in Ramadhan aimed to ease the financial strain of underprivileged families in the country. The families in the Tutong District were identified through the Community Development Department (JAPEM), Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports. The families were taken to grocery shopping to help in their preparation for the upcoming Hari Raya festivities, and treated to a Sungkai afterwards.

One of the recipients Nur Syakirah Nabilah binti Abdullah Apol from Kampong Bukit expressed her gratitude to Baiduri Bank for the caring gifts. She prayed that Allah the Almighty bless the bank’s kind gesture. She shared that her children’s needs were the priorities during the shopping.

Awangku Muhd Hisyam bin Pengiran Haji Ali, also from Kampong Bukit, was thankful to those who have shown kindness to those in need.
