THE Ministry of Development through the Department of Environment, Parks and Recreation, in conjunction with the World Environment Day, held a Tahlil, Doa Arwah and mass Asar prayer at the Surau of the Ministry of Development building yesterday.
Present as the guest of honour was the Acting Minister of Development, Dato Paduka Awang Haji Suhaimi bin Haji Gafar.
The event was proceeded with the planting of trees at the field behind the Ministry of Development building. This is a continuation to a mini programme held during the Earth Day celebration on April 22 where these trees were cared for and maintained by the guests at the celebration who comprised of heads and representatives from departments and divisions under the Ministry of Development.
Also present were the Permanent Secretary (Administration and Finance), Haji Muhammad Lutfi bin Abdullah; Permanent Secretary (Technical and Professional), Eddie bin Dato Paduka Haji Sunny; Deputy Permanent Secretary, Haji Marzuke bin Haji Mohsin; Heads of Departments and heads of divisions; senior officers and personnel of the Ministry of Development.
