FIFTY-FOUR families comprising elderly and the underprivileged from several villages in Tutong and Belait districts received cash and food from the Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah’s charity programme in conjunction with the holy month of Ramadhan.
The donation, in line with the charitable and philanthropic policy of the establishment of Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah, hoped to help the recipients during the holy month of Ramadhan and prepare for Hari Raya Aidilfitri.
The presentation of donation to 35 families in Tutong District was held yesterday at Kampong Penanjong Mosque. Handing over the donation was Minister of Defence II Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof, in his capacity as Chairman of the Yayasan Board of Directors.
Meanwhile, the presentation of the donation to 19 families was held at the multipurpose hall of Liang Recreation Club (LLRC) in Belait District.
Presenting the donation was Minister of Development Dato Seri Paduka Awang Haji Suhaimi bin Haji Gafar, a member of the Yayasan Board of Directors.
