INTERNATIONAL School Brunei (ISB) feted young athletes, following the recent Federation of British International Schools in Asia (FOBISIA) Games in Phuket, during an awards assembly yesterday.
Honoured as a FOBISIA Games competitor and multiple medallist was Yang Teramat Mulia Pengiran Muda ‘Abdul Muntaqim ibni Duli Yang Teramat Mulia Paduka Seri Pengiran Muda Mahkota Pengiran Muda Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah.
Honoured for his performance in 11 events, Yang Teramat Mulia won nine medals to cap off a consistently strong athletic performance across the different sporting disciplines.
The ISB contingent, comprising six teachers and 40 student-athletes, participated in the four days of sporting event hosted by the Sports Camp Australia at Thanyapura Sports Resort, Phuket, Thailand from May 10-13.
The athletes representing ISB competed in a host of sporting events over the course of the weekend, namely swimming, T-Ball, athletics and football, against students from the strongest international schools across Asia.
The ISB’s contingent put on a good showing, coming home with 161 medals – 47 Gold, 64 Silver, and 50 Bronze.
