THE Girl Guides Association of Brunei Darussalam (PPPBD) prepared about 600 containers of porridge for its first Titian Kasih activity – a new project carried out during this holy month of Ramadhan, at the PPPBD Headquarters in Kampong Anggerek Desa, Berakas yesterday. Chief Commissioner of the PPPBD Hajah Siti Hafsah binti Haji Abdul Halim; Deputy Chief Commissioner of the PPPBD Hajah Viviyanti binti Haji Aji; as well as assistant chief commissioners, commissioners and members of PPPBD were present.
The activity was part of a series of charity and community programmes carried out by PPPBD this year with the aim of sharing the blessings of Ramadhan Al-Mubarak and to share the happiness and joy with other people.
The activity also aimed at encouraging the youth to always be ready to serve the community, religion, race and country in line with the PPPBD slogan Siap Sedia.
The event saw participation of members at all levels cooking and preparing chicken porridge and bubur kacang to be distributed to the public.
The members will be receiving badges for their participation in the activity.
