SEVEN Leading Firemen (LFN) and a fireman from the Fire and Rescue Department (FRD) were yesterday promoted to the rank of Assistant Station Officer (ASO) during a rank insignia presentation ceremony at the Officer’s Mess of the FRD Headquarters at the Old Airport in Berakas.
Haji Kamaruzaman bin Haji Yahya, Haji Nordin bin Ahmad, Rustam Efandi bin Haji Metusin, Mohamad Zulkifli bin Mohd Tahir, Hajah Norol Idarawati binti Damit, Norziah binti Haji Tahir, Nurmunirah binti Abdullah and Mohammad Firdaus bin Yusoff received their rank insignias from Assistant Director of Training and Staff Planning Hajah Siti Mayang binti Haji Hussin.
Assistant directors, senior officials, officers and personnel of the FRD, as well as family members of the recipients attended the event.
Acting Head of Religious Teacher at the FRD Ustaz Othman bin Asat read the Doa Selamat.
The department encouraged the newly promoted officers to enhance their commitment, work quality and productivity toward realising the vision and mission of the department.
