THE 1021 Cub Scout Pack of Kampong Mata-Mata Primary School, Gadong Cluster 1, organised a Jalinan Kasih charity event in Kampong Lumapas.
The event saw a presentation of donation in the form of basic needs to four less privileged families.
Eight Scout members comprising a Cub Scout Leader, Assistant Cub Scout leader and cub Scout members of the school were present.
The delegation was led by 1021 Cub Scout Leader of the school Hajah Norrahmat binti Sidin who is also the Headquarters Scout Commissioner for Rover Scout Section and Girl Scout Section of Brunei Darussalam Scouts Association.
Village Head of Kampong Lumapas Haji Chuchu bin Haji Serudin was also present.
Held as part of the school’s 1021 Cub Scout Pack annual activity especially in the holy month of Ramadhan, the event aimed at instilling and creating the feeling of blessing and sharing the sustenance given by Allah the Almighty to those in need to reduce their financial burden and in conjunction with the upcoming Aidilfitri celebration.
The event also aimed at encouraging Cub Scout members to express their concerns toward the less fortunate.
