MUSLIM converts who took part in the Islamic Da’wah Centre’s Muallaf Guidance Class (KBM) were welcomed to the Hari Raya Aidilfitri open house of the Minister of Religious Affairs Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman in Kampong Sungai Besar, Jalan Kota Batu yesterday.
The group, comprised of over 80 women and children, was led by Acting Assistant Director of the Islamic Da’wah Centre Abdul Aziz bin Haji Kahar.
Upon arrival, the group was received by the minister, his spouse and grandchildren.
The minister also shared about the religious classes that the guests will be attending, noting that the classes are meant to provide them with a better understanding of Islam. He also briefed the new converts on the daily lives of Muslims.
The guests then handed over a token of appreciation to the minister, before tucking in to the open house lunch spread. The guests were part of larger group of converts from across the country which went for the Hari Raya open house at Istana Nurul Iman earlier in the morning.
