THE full rehearsal for the hoisting of the giant-sized national flag in conjunction with His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam’s 72nd birthday celebration took place yesterday at the open area of the Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Complex, Bandar Seri Begawan.
The rehearsal was held to ensure all preparations run smoothly. The Royal Brunei Armed Forces, the Royal Brunei Police Force, the Prisons Department, the Fire and Rescue Department and representatives from government departments were involved.
The Acting Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Home Affairs Ajman bin Haji Meludin, in his capacity as the Chairman of the Giant-sized National Flag Hoisting Ceremony Committee, witnessed the rehearsal.
Also present were officers from the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Department of Adat Istiadat Negara, district offices and members of the Giant-sized National Flag Hoisting Ceremony committee.
