LOTTO, an Italian brand of sporting goods, agreed to extend its sponsorship agreement with the National Football Association of Brunei Darussalam (NFABD) after a signing ceremony between the NFABD and Sports Partnership Pte Ltd Singapore yesterday.
The ceremony was held at the NFABD House in Berakas. The deal will span from June 30, 2018 to June 30, 2021.
Lotto, through their region’s licensee, Sports Partnership Pte Ltd, will supply all football and futsal teams under the NFABD with the latest football apparel and equipment.
With the extension, NFABD will continue to be among several prominent clubs and federations sponsored by Lotto.
Team uniforms will feature a unique Islamic motif to symbolise Brunei as a prominent Islamic country.
Present as representatives during the ceremony were Acting Deputy President of NFABD Pengiran Haji Aliudin bin Pengiran Haji Tajuddin, President of Sports Partnership Pte Ltd Singapore Johar Jasman, General Secretary of NFABD Rosdin bin Suhailee and Fauzy Rajap from Sports Partnership Pte Ltd Singapore.
Lotto Manager in charge of the Asia-Pacific Region Luca Tomat is confident that NFABD, under the leadership of His Royal Highness Prince Haji Sufri Bolkiah and his team of committed personnel, will raise the standard of football in the country and make the Brunei football team a respected force in the region.
Lotto hopes to contribute in the development of sports, especially football, in Brunei and the region.
“We have very pleasant relationship with the NFABD and have never looked back on our sponsorship,” said Johar Jasman. “Our principal office in Italy is also very supportive of our association. They will continue to provide new ideas in areas of designs and products development to enable us to equip NFABD with the proper equipment to enhance the outlook and image for the teams.”
“We at Lotto believe that a product’s design and quality are essential in any sponsorship activities. The proper equipment will enhance the image of teams and boost confidence and pride of the players to improve their performance,” added Johar Jasman.
“In this new agreement, both parties agreed to improve a few clauses that can benefit all parties for the next three years. Insya Allah, NFABD will give full commitment to this agreement and strengthen cooperation with Sports Partnership Pte Ltd. Aside from the sponsorship, NFABD will fully commit in promoting the Lotto brand at venues where matches are being held and any related events,” said the General Secretary of NFABD. “Hopefully with the newly signed agreement, both parties will continue to be partners in tandem with the development of football in the country.”
