BRUNEI Darussalam National Under-19 team yesterday left for Surabaya to take part in the Asean Football Federation (AFF) Under-19 Youth Championship which begins today until July 14.
The junior Wasps will begin their campaign against Cambodia in Group ‘B’ tomorrow before meeting Timor Leste two days later.
They will face Malaysia next on July 6 before concluding their campaign against Myanmar on July 8.
Myanmar and Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Championship bound Malaysia are favourites to advance from the group.
Group ‘A’ comprises host nation Indonesia, defending champions Thailand, Vietnam, Singapore, Philippines and Laos.
Thailand have been widely tipped as overwhelming favourites to capture a record-breaking sixth title.
