DOZENS of local entrepreneurs had the opportunity to discover new emerging technologies and business models from Korean companies during a Brunei-Korea seminar hosted by DARe (Darussalam Enterprise).

The seminar – which focussed on ICT initiatives and Halal cosmetic, food supplement and healthcare – was organised to promote business exchanges between Brunei and Korea, and enhance cooperative businesses. It also hoped to provide a platform for new potential business ventures. Through the seminar, it is also hoped local entrepreneurs will be inspired to develop a business model of the global value chain of producing new innovative products and services, including smart micro-algae production; cosmetics using micro-algae; and ICT, which are considered Korea’s competitive industries.

Seven top Korean companies in the ICT and Halal Cosmetic, Food Supplement and Healthcare Industry, including SejoongIs Co Ltd; Sillasystem Co Ltd; Goonworld Spring Information Technology Co Ltd; FusionsoI Co Ltd; Ecophycotech Co Ltd and Lemon Healthcare, sent their representatives to the seminar to shed light on their respective company’s products and services and business models.

Also delivering a presentation were business promotion agency from Korea – Daegu Digital Industry Promotion Agency and local joint venture SunBioTech (B) Sdn Bhd.
