BAG Networks marked 17 years of joint collaboration with Khazanah Satu Sdn Bhd and Accenture at the Design and Technology Building yesterday, under the theme of ‘Celebrating an Amazing Journey’.
The guest of honour was Minister of Finance II and Chairman of BAG Networks Dato Seri Paduka Dr Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew bin Abdullah.
Other distinguished guests included Permanent Secretary (Performance) at the Ministry of Finance Norliah binti Haji Kula and Deputy Permanent Secretary (Investment) at the Ministry of Finance Haji Khairuddin bin Haji Abdul Hamid, who are members of the Board of Directors for Bag Networks.
Also present was a Legislative Council (LegCo) member Yang Berhormat Nik Hafimi binti Abdul Haadii.
In his speech, the minister paid tribute to Accenture for involving Bag Networks in overseas enterprises, along with several oil and gas consultation projects, during the early years.
“Accenture also assisted Bag Networks in improving its corporate governance, methodology, policies, standards and processes,” he said.
The minister also thanked Accenture for the years of collaboration, partnership and cooperation, while expressing his confidence that their ties of friendship would endure beyond the joint venture.
“As all good things will at some points come to an end, following the departure of Accenture as a shareholder, Bag Networks will be embarking on the next chapter of its journey. Now Khazanah Satu will take the company further in confronting whatever challenges lie ahead and continuing to scale greater heights,” he added.
A former member of BAG Networks Board of Directors Brad Cable also spoke on the joint venture at the ceremony.
