HIS Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam yesterday received Letters of Credence from four newly-appointed envoys to the country.
The envoys who presented their Letters of Credence were Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to Brunei Darussalam Dr Sujatmiko; Ambassador of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic to Brunei Darussalam Phonethavy Boutdara; Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Brunei Darussalam Yoon Hyun-bong; and Ambassador of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar to Brunei Darussalam U Htin Lynn.
Dr Sujatmiko previously served as Deputy Coordinating Minister for Women and Children Protection, Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Cultural Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia.
Phonethavy Boutdara formerly held the post of Director-General of Press Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic.
Yoon Hyun-bong previously served as Chair of the Fair Trade Committee, Seoul Metropolitan Government, Republic of Korea.
Meanwhile, U Htin Lynn had served as Permanent Representative of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar to the United Nations in Geneva, Switzerland.
The ceremony took place at the Istana Nurul Iman.
