THE Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) nabbed seven men and a woman, aged between 33 and 55 years, for suspected gambling activities at a house in Kampong Tanah Jambu National Housing Scheme on Monday evening.
Acting on a public tip-off, the raid was conducted by the Gambling Suppression and Anti-Vice Unit with the House and Vehicle Theft Unit of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID), RBPF.
Five of the suspected individuals apprehended are locals, while the rest are foreigners.
The police confiscated items believed to be used for katam-katam gambling activities and cash believed to be connected to the illegal activity. All suspects were brought to the CID for further investigation.
The RBPF welcomes public assistance in combating illegal activities in their neighbourhoods and urged the public to contact hotline 993 to report illegal activities.
