Minister chairs ASEAN schools sports council meeting

THE 55^th ASEAN Schools Sports Council Management Meeting was held recently in Kuala Lumpur.

The meeting was chaired by Deputy Minister of Education Datin Seri Paduka Dr Hajah Romaizah binti Haji Mohd Salleh as the President of ASEAN Schools Sports Council (ASSC) 2018-2019.

The meeting was also attended by Acting Head Director of Education and Chef de Mission of the Brunei Darussalam Sports School Council Contingent (MSSBD) Hajah Anis Faudzulani binti Haji Dzulkiflee and Acting Director of Co-Curriculum Education Mohamed Jais bin Haji Abdul Rahman.

Amongst the agenda that were discussed at the meeting were the constitution and regulations of the ASEAN Schools Sports Council; enhance and improve the activities and programmes of the ASEAN Schools Sports Council; report from the host nation on the ASEAN School Games 2018; report from the Technical Committee of the ASEAN Schools Sports Council; report from the treasurer of the ASEAN Schools Sports Council; and report from the 11^th ASEAN School Games 2019 from Indonesia as the host nation.

ASEAN Schools Sports Council was established in 1978.
