BANK Islam Brunei Darussalam (BIBD) handed over a Musafir’s guide for Haj pilgrimage to the Ministry of Religious Affairs (MoRA) yesterday.
The book entitled Buku Panduan Musafir was prepared as a result of close collaborations between BIBD, the Islamic Da’wah Centre and MoRA to better prepare Bruneian pilgrims performing their Haj this year to reap the most out of their journey.
As BIBD explained in a press release, the support for the publication of the book is also part of BIBD’s effort in supporting His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam’s vision of a Zikir Nation and towards Baldatun Tayyibatun Wa Rabbun Ghafur.
The guide expands on guidance and teachings of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) on the etiquette and self-conduct before, during and after the Haj pilgrimage, prayers and methods during travel, frequently asked questions and more.
The guide also elaborates on etiquettes in travelling which include preparation before, during and after travel and ways to pray during travel as well as frequently asked questions during travel.
According to a press release from the Islamic Da’wah Centre, 2,000 copies of the book have been published to be distributed to relevant parties.
Yesterday’s event, which took place at The Brunei Hotel in Bandar Seri Begawan, began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah and Doa, before proceeding with the handover of the guide.
The guide was handed over by Head of Government Relations and Special Projects of BIBD Haji Mohammad Yusri bin Haji Wahsalfelah.
Receiving the guide on behalf of MoRA was Acting Director of the Islamic Da’wah Centre and the guest of honour Haji Abdul Rajid bin Haji Mohd Salleh.
