THE management of Annajat Complex with their co-organiser Wonderworks officiated the opening ceremony of the Muslim Lifestyle Fair of 2018 at the Annajat Complex in Beribi yesterday.
The event is the first ever Islamic-themed event organised by the Annajat Complex management and is scheduled to be held at the venue annually.
The Muslim Lifestyle Fair of 2018 was declared open by the guest of honour, Brunei Council on Social Welfare (MKM)President Datin Paduka Hajah Intan binti Haji Mohd Kassim, along with Annajat Complex Assistant Managing Director Datin Hajah Norayati binti Pehin Orang Kaya Shahbandar Dato Seri Setia Haji Awang Mohd Nawawi during the ribbon-cutting ceremony.
Annajat Complex General Manager Kamil Cassim in his speech said the one-week fair is an initiative by Annajat Complex management to boost local small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) participation and sparking interest in striving to create originality, diversification and continued improvements of Islamic products and services to match with international standards.
He also advised local entrepreneurs to not be afraid to take risks and jump higher to achieve success.
He added that the government has always been supportive of innovative products and services, and hoped that vendors will continue to strive for new ideas with enthusiasm for future expo events.
Local vendors and foreign entrepreneurs participated in the the Muslim Lifestyle Fair of 2018, both offering a variety of products and services from Islamic apparel to Halal beauty care.
In addition to the showcase spectacle, the expo also offers a Halal/Haram information to promote awareness to the public on how a healthy Islamic lifestyle should be.
Malaysian celebrities such as Hisyam Hamid, Rozita Che Wan, Zain Saidin and As’ad Motawh are also participating in the fair.
