IN A bid to increase awareness on the effectiveness of financial management through interactive activities, Insurans Islam Tabung Amanah Islam Brunei (TAIB) Family Takaful Sdn Bhd (IITFT) and Insurans Islam TAIB General Takaful Sdn Bhd (IITGT) participated in the third Financial Fun Fair in Jerudong Park Colonnade.
The two-day fair, themed ‘Financially Literate Generation’, was organised by Autoriti Monetari Brunei Darussalam (AMBD) in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and supported by local financial institutions.
It aimed to enhance financial awareness and literacy in conjunction with National Savings Day 2018.
At the IITFT and IITGT booth, members of the public learnt about road safety, daily life budgeting, and the importance of insurance in the event an unfortunate incident occurs.
“Through the road safety awareness activity, the public learnt the importance of being a disciplined driver, obeying the law and steering away from distractions.
“With that, they can also save money on repair costs, fines or damages,” stated Insurans Islam TAIB.
It is hoped that the financial roadshow increased awareness on the importance of savings and financial independence, as well as encouraging the public to be more financially savvy.
This is in line with AMBD’s efforts to develop a financially literate generation and drive the National Vision 2035 objectives towards creating a dynamic and sustainable economy with highly skilled citizens.
