The guest of honour was Dr Hajah Norasimah binti Haji Latip, the spouse of the Head Religious Officer at the Religious Affairs Department in Kuala Belait, who was welcomed by Hajah Julia binti Chee, the event chairperson.

Organised by the Belait District branch of the Women’s Institute of Brunei Darussalam (WI), with the support of Nimanja Enterprise, the competition featured more than 40 cats competing in the categories of Local, Siamese, Mixed, Persian and Maine Coon.

The cats also competed in six additional categories: Most Beautiful Cat, Largest Cat, Most Hygienic/Healthy Cat, Prettiest Fur, Most Photogenic, and the Best of the Best.

In the Siamese category, Mansa was the overall champion, followed by Amy and Ace, who placed second and third, respectively.
