THE fourth and final batch of Brunei Darussalam Haj pilgrims for 2018, comprising 254 people, returned home yesterday via RB flight BI4220.
The pilgrims were welcomed at the Brunei International Airport by Minister of Religious Affairs Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman and spouse; as well as Minister of Defence II Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof.
Also present to welcome the pilgrims were Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs Pengiran Dato Seri Paduka Haji Bahrom bin Pengiran Haji Bahar; Deputy Commissioner of the Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Mohammad Irwan bin Haji Hambali as a representative of the Commissioner of Police; Deputy Permanent Secretary (Professional) at the Ministry of Health Dr Haji Zulaidi bin Haji Abdul Latif; Deputy Permanent Secretary (Policy and Religious) at the Ministry of Religious Affairs (MoRA) Haji Mohd Serudin bin Haji Timbang and spouse; as well as directors, assistant directors, senior officers from the MoRA and Haj travel agencies.
A recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah was read by Assistant Religious officer at the Islamic Da’wah Centre Pengiran Haji Reduan bin Pengiran Haji Badaruddin upon their arrival.
