HIS Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam and Her Majesty Duli Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Saleha binti Al-Marhum Pengiran Pemancha Pengiran Anak Haji Mohamed Alam yesterday received a courtesy visit from His Royal Highness Sultan Sallehuddin ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Badlishah, Sultan of Kedah Darul Aman and Her Royal Highness Sultanah Maliha binti Al-Marhum Tengku Ariff, Sultanah of Kedah Darul Aman.
The ceremony was held at the Istana Nurul Iman.
Upon arrival at Istana Nurul Iman, His Royal Highness the Sultan of Kedah Darul Aman and Her Royal Highness the Sultanah of Kedah Darul Aman were introduced to members of the royal family.
The delegation of His Royal Highness the Sultan of Kedah Darul Aman and Her Royal Highness the Sultanah of Kedah Darul Aman among others consisted of Chief Minister of Kedah Darul Aman Dato’ Seri Haji Mukhriz bin Tun Dr Mahathir and Datin; Tunku Laksamana of Kedah Yang Teramat Mulia Dato’ Tunku Shazuddin Ariff ibni Sultan Sallehuddin; State Mufti of Kedah Sohibus Samahah Dato’ Sheikh Fadzil bin Haji Awang; and State Secretary of Kedah Dato’ Paduka Haji Bakar bin Din.
Shortly after, Their Majesties received a courtesy visit from His Royal Highness the Sultan of Kedah Darul Aman and Her Royal Highness the Sultanah of Kedah Darul Aman which was held at Cheradi Laila Kenchana.
During the courtesy visit, His Majesty received an invitation from His Royal Highness the Sultan of Kedah Darul Aman to the Coronation Ceremony of His Royal Highness as the 29th Sultan of Kedah Darul Aman which will be held at Istana Anak Bukit, Kedah Darul Aman on October 22, 2018.
Their Majesties then consented to a photo session with His Royal Highness the Sultan of Kedah Darul Aman and Her Royal Highness the Sultanah of Kedah Darul Aman, as well as with members of the royal family.
Their Majesties together with His Royal Highness the Sultan of Kedah Darul Aman and Her Royal Highness the Sultanah of Kedah Darul Aman then proceeded to Cheradi Ratna Kenchana, where Their Majesties received gifts from His Royal Highness the Sultan of Kedah Darul Aman and Her Royal Highness the Sultanah of Kedah Darul Aman.
Their Majesties later proceeded to Baitur Rahmah together with His Royal Highness the Sultan of Kedah Darul Aman and Her Royal Highness the Sultanah of Kedah Darul Aman for a Luncheon.
Also present at the Luncheon were His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah; Her Royal Highness Paduka Seri Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Sarah; His Royal Highness Prince ‘Abdul Malik; Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Raabi’atul ‘Adawiyyah; His Royal Highness Prince ‘Abdul Mateen; His Royal Highness Prince ‘Abdul Wakeel; His Royal Highness Prince Mohamed Bolkiah; Her Royal Highness Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Zariah; His Royal Highness Prince Haji Jefri Bolkiah; Her Royal Highness Princess Hajah Rashidah Sa’adatul Bolkiah; Her Royal Highness Princess Hajah Majeedah Nuurul Bolkiah; Her Royal Highness Princess Hajah Hafizah Sururul Bolkiah; Her Royal Highness Princess ‘Azemah Ni’matul Bolkiah; Her Royal Highness Princess Ameerah Wardatul Bolkiah; and Her Royal Highness Princess Hajah Amal Umi Kalthum Al-Islam.
The Luncheon began with the recitation of Doa Selamat by State Mufti Pehin Datu Seri Maharaja Dato Paduka Seri Setia (Dr) Ustaz Haji Awang Abdul Aziz bin Juned.
His Royal Highness the Sultan of Kedah Darul Aman and Her Royal Highness the Sultanah of Kedah Darul Aman as well as their delegation were in the country on a two-day courtesy visit.
