AL IDRUS SC kicked off their campaign in the Al Idrus Sports Football League Championship with a bang after trouncing sorry Setia Bakti 8-2 at the Bengkurong Field recently.
Pengiran Haslini bin Pengiran Haji Kifly entered the fray as a substitute in the 49th minute and announced himself with a hat-trick in a space of 18 minutes to play a big part in the demolition.
Determined to get Al Idrus off to a roaring start in Group ‘G’, Alfiandy bin Haji Wasli opened the floodgates in the opening minute before doubling the lead in the 12th minute.
Mazlani bin Haji Mahadi pulled one goal back for Setia Bakti four minutes later but Soffriana bin Haji Masri restored a two-goal cushion in the 27th minute.
Md Rafiie bin Haji Abd Majid extended his side lead two minutes after the break before making it 5-1 in the 54th minute.
Pengiran A Haji Hasnan Bolkiah Pengiran A Haji Saifuddin found the net for Setia Bakti in the 62nd minute before the start of the hat-trick show from Pengiran Haslini who was on target in the 71st, 87th and 89th minute.
Meanwhile in other matches, ITF thrashed Menggellela 6-0 while SM Veteran edged Manggis FC 2-1.
