TO CONTINUE the preparation for the first ASEAN Rover Moot, the Brunei Darussalam Scouts Association (PPNBD) recently conducted a working visit to the Belait District to find attractive and exciting locations, following a working visit in the Brunei-Muara District earlier.
The delegation comprised PPNBD President Haji Matussin bin Orang Kaya Sura Haji Tuba; Vice President Haji Damit bin Haji Chuchu; Scout Chief Commissioner Haji Awang Badar bin Haji Awang Ali; Secretary General Haji Abdul Malik Mohammad; Treasurer General Pengiran Alit Pengiran Damit; Chief Executive Officer Haji Mohd Zali bin Haji Arsad; International Commissioner Abdul Manan bin Haji Abdul Latip; National Scout Commissioner for Rover Scouts section and Girl Scout section Hajah Nor Rahmat binti Sidin; National Scout Commissioner for Special Duties Haji Zainuddin Jaafar; National Scout Commissioner for Welfare, Community and Environment Haji Md Salleh bin Haji Ahmad; and Executive Officer Zainudin Ishak.
Also present were Belait District Scouts Association (PPDB) Chairman Terry D Jayasuriya; PPDB Acting Scout Commissioner Mohamad Hatta bin Haji Suhaili; Executive Committee member Lieutenant Colonel (Rtd) Ramli bin Abdul Hadis; as well as several Scouts members from the PPDB.
The visit began with a meeting with the Acting Belait District Officer Ridzuan bin Haji Ahmad at the District Emergency Operation Centre (DEOC), Belait District Office to outline the various activities that will be conducted in the upcoming ASEAN Rover Moot.
Following the meeting, the group visited the Belait Museum, Mumong Sports Complex, Kampong Sungai Liang Mosque, as well as Wasai Wong Kadir and Mendaram Besar Longhouse in Labi.
The ASEAN Rover Moot will be held on December 12-17, themed ‘One ASEAN, One Community in Scouting’.
