SUNSHINE School celebrated its Family Day Walkathon at Taman Haji Sir Muda Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien in the capital yesterday.
Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports Datin Paduka Dr Hajah Norlila binti Dato Paduka Haji Abdul Jalil officiated.
School principal, Naziancina G Wards said the activity themed Healthy Living Begins with a Single Step, aimed to promote the importance of leading a healthy life and quality time with family. It also sought to strengthen ties among participants.
The event began with a warm-up and aerobic session followed by a walkathon around the capital participated by around 400 people comprising teachers, staff, parents and students.
The event, enlivened with several family-oriented activities, concluded with a prize presentation ceremony.
