THE Public Service Department of the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) held a Doa Kesyukuran ceremony to commemorate the 25th Civil Service Day at the Ash-Shaliheen Mosque of the PMO Building Complex yesterday.
Present at the event were Chairman of the Public Service Commission; members of the Brunei Islamic Religious Council (MUIB); Auditor General; Permanent Secretary (Corporate Affairs and Public Service) at the Prime Minister’s Office in his capacity as the Chairman of the Executive Committee of the 25th Civil Service Day; permanent secretaries; deputy permanent secretaries; heads of departments; senior officers; officers and staff members under the civil service.
The ceremony began with mass Asar prayer led by the Mosque Affairs Officer of Ash-Shaliheen Mosque Anuar bin Haji Salim, followed by the recitation of Surah Yaasiin and a special Doa for the 25th Civil Service Day celebration.
The ceremony concluded with the recitation of Doa Selamat.
Similar events were also simultaneously held in the Tutong, Belait and Temburong Districts attended by Legislative Council members and permanent secretaries.
In the Belait District, the ceremony was held at the RPN Kampong Pandan Mosque, Kuala Belait, yesterday afternoon.
Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Health Haji Abdul Manap bin Othman was the guest of honour. Also present were various heads of government departments and agencies in the Belait District, senior officers, officers and civil servants in the Belait District.
The ceremony started with mass Asar prayer followed by the recitation of Surah Yaasiin and a special Doa in conjunction with the 25th Civil Service Day by Mosque Affairs Officer and Head Imam of RPN Kampong Pandan Mosque Haji Julazni bin Haji Mohd Zaini.
