THE Night Walk conducted by Rosnah Yusof and Sons Entertainment (RYS Entertainment) in collaboration with the Kuala Belait and Seria Municipal Board drew hundreds of residents from the Belait District at the event’s first anniversary on Saturday night.
Held in conjunction with Kuala Belaitku (KBKu)Ceria, participants first gathered at the Silver Jubilee Park at Jalan Maulana to support the event and participated in a warm-up activity prior to the Night Walk.
Acting Chairman of the Kuala Belait and Seria Municipal Board Abdol Hazis bin Haji Ahad, Technical Director at Brunei Shell Petroleum Company Sdn Bhd (BSP) Yap Kong Fah, Serikandi Group of Companies Chief Executive Officer Shaikh Haji Khalid bin Shaikh Haji Ahmad and over 150 participants comprising residents from the Belait District participated in the Night Walk.
Guided and escorted by the Royal Brunei Police Force, participants covered over four kilometres during the Night Walk, with the designated route taking them through landmarks in the surrounding area of Pekan Belait under the moonlit night.
Though the Night Walk is held in conjunction with KBku Ceria every month, this Night Walk was special as it marked the first anniversary of the event since it was first held earlier last year around the same time.
As such, RYS Entertainment issued a challenge titled ‘Night Walk KB Challenge’ for members of the public, which encourages those interested to download the smartphone app ‘Mark My Run Under Armour’, adding ‘RYS Entertainment’ as a friend and waiting for it to be accepted.
Once accepted, participants can officially join the challenge and record how far they can run using the app.
The participant who records the farthest distance travelled on foot on the next Night Walk will receive a prize.
