MICRONET International College (MIC) welcomed the college’s October 2018 intake during a two-day orientation programme on Tuesday at its Jerudong Campus and on Thursday at the Berakas Forest Reserve.
The first day of orientation saw briefing sessions by MIC administrative staff for both parents and guardians of the new students to keep them informed, among others, on the college’s rules and regulations and IT courses (Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA), Pearson BTEC UK, NCC Education UK, Foundation Programme in Computing) as well as the students’ academic assessments and the timetable.
The briefing ended with a question-and-answer session.
The new students, meanwhile, were also briefed on the courses they are pursuing at the college along with the agenda of the entire orientation programme.
On the second day, current and new MIC students enjoyed games such as water slide, beach volleyball and water gun battle at the Berakas Forest Reserve. The activities, held to foster good relationship among the students, were facilitated by the newly appointed MIC Student Council members.
Prizes were presented to students who won challenges held at the beach followed by the presentation of merit awards to students who excelled in the previous semester.
The two-day orientation programme ended with a barbecue and banana leaf lunch buffet as well as lucky draws.
