IN CONJUNCTION with the Diamond Jubilee anniversary celebration of Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Mosque, a religious talk entitled Bicara Muslimah was held for Muslimah Guidance Class of Brunei-Muara District at the Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Mosque in the capital yesterday.
The event was organised by Muslimah Affairs Division, Mosque Affairs Department at the Ministry of Religious Affairs in collaboration with members of the Takmir committee of Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Mosque.
The guest of honour was Datin Hajah Nahriah binti Haji Hasbi, spouse of the Minister of Religious Affairs.
Senior officials, staff members at the Ministry of Religious Affairs and invited guests were also present.
The event commenced with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah led by the guest of honour, followed by the religious talk on the benefits of Istighfar delivered by Senior Religious Officer at the Haj Management Department Ustazah Hajah Zunainah binti Haji Gunong.
The event continued with the reading of Sayyidul Istighfar led by Head of Muslimah Affairs Division Noraini Yanti binti Haji Hussin and concluded with the recitation of Doa Peliharakan Sultan dan Negara Brunei Darussalam by Supervisor of Muslimah Guidance Class of Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Mosque Ustazah Hajah Halimah binti Haji Mohd Said.
The event aimed at enlivening the celebration of the 60th anniversary of Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Mosque, practising Istighfar and Zikir daily and taking the lessons on Hijrah of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) as well as strengthening the ties among the Muslimah.
