A NATIONWIDE religious programme to seek blessings for the final year examinations was held at religious and Arabic schools yesterday.
The programme themed Doa Restu Ibu Bapa dan Guru, began with mass Sunnat Hajat prayers followed with mass recitation of Sayyidul Istighfar and Surah Al-Fatihah.
The programme proceeded with a Doa Restu Ibu Bapa dan Guru talk to prepare students for the examinations and ensure the students have a clear and steadfast mind. The importance of maintaining good health before the exam was also highlighted.
The event continued with the recitation of Surah Yaasiin, Doa Peperiksaan and Doa Peliharakan Sultan dan Negara Brunei Darussalam and concluded with the recitation of Surah Al-’Asr and Tasbih Kaffarah.
The annual event served to meet the objectives of Islamic education in producing Al-Insannussaleh (pious individual) and seek blessings for students.
In the Belait District, the programme was held at the multi-purpose hall of Panaga Religious School. Over 347 students from preschool to Primary 6 participated.
Other schools involved in the programme were Pehin Udana Khatib Haji Umar Kampong Setia, Lubok Pulau, Piasau-Piasau religious schools and Hassanal Bolkiah Arabic Boys Secondary School.
