THE Pengiran Muda Mahkota Al-Muhtadee Billah Fund for Orphans (DANA) received a donation of BND4,056.20 from the organising committee of the rescreening of Brunei Darussalam’s first local film, Gema Dari Menara.
According to a press release, the contribution is the result of ticket sales and donations from the public during the rescreening of the film on October 23-29 at Arena Cineplex, Seri Qlap Mall; White Screen, Regal Blue Kampong Sungai Hanching; and DiGadong Hall of the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports.
The contribution was presented by the co-Chairman of the organising committee for the film’s 50th anniversary Pengiran Haji Abbas bin Pengiran Haji Besar who also played a leading role in the film.
DANA Chief Executive Officer Dato Paduka Eddie bin Dato Paduka Haji Sunny received the donation.
Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah is the Secretariat for DANA.
