HIS Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah ibni His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Her Royal Highness Paduka Seri Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Sarah binti Pengiran Haji Salleh Ab Rahaman yesterday afternoon attended a hi-tea reception with the President of the Republic of Singapore Halimah Yacob, and spouse Mohamed bin Abdullah Alhabshee at the Yusuf Ishak Room of the Istana.
At the Istana, Their Royal Highnesses were welcomed by the President and spouse. Upon arrival, Their Royal Highnesses signed the Istana guests book before a group photo session.
After the reception, Their Royal Highnesses left the Istana and were bid farewell by the President of the Republic of Singapore and spouse.
Meanwhile earlier, Their Royal Highnesses joined others for a leisure morning walk at the Gardens by the Bay.
Accompanying Their Royal Highnesses were Yang Teramat Mulia Pengiran Muda ‘Abdul Muntaqim and Yang Teramat Mulia Pengiran Anak Muneerah Madhul Bolkiah.
Their Royal Highnesses at the Gardens by the Bay were greeted by Deputy Prime Minister and Coordinating Minister for National Security of the Republic of Singapore Teo Chee Hean and spouse Teo Poh Yim; as well as CEO of Gardens by the Bay Felix Loh. Her Royal Highness was then presented with a bouquet of flower before proceeding for a group photo session.
Their Royal Highnesses then rode a buggy with the Deputy Prime Minister and spouse for a sightseeing tour around the garden. Their Royal Highnesses then proceeded to the OCBC Skyway before moving to Cloud Forest Dome to view the waterfall and floral exhibition, and for a photo session.
Their Royal Highnesses continued the tour to Flower Dome which showcases varieties of flower gardens and a Disney-themed floral display.
During the visit, Yang Teramat Mulia Pengiran Muda ‘Abdul Muntaqim and Yang Teramat Mulia Pengiran Anak Muneerah Madhul Bolkiah received a pesambah from the Deputy Prime Minister and they reciprocated with gifts for him.
Meanwhile, His Royal Highness exchanged gifts with the CEO of Gardens by the Bay.
After the morning walk, Their Royal Highnesses, together with the Deputy Prime Minister and wife, proceeded to Mandarin Oriental Hotel for breakfast.
The series of visits of Their Royal Highnesses were part of the 6th Young Leaders’ Programme.
The Young Leaders’ Programme is an annual exchange of visits that reflects the good relationship between the two countries and is aimed to further strengthen the cooperation between the future leaders for the next-generation.
