POPULAR Bruneian and Singaporean artistes shared centre stage for the 18th Rapsodi at Jerudong Park Amphitheatre last night.
Rapsodi is an entertainment programme organised by Radio Television Brunei (RTB) in collaboration with Mediacorp Singapore. This year’s programme carries the theme Muzik Kita Lagu Kita.
The guest of honours were Minister of Communications Dato Seri Setia Awang Abdul Mutalib bin Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Setia Dato Paduka Haji Mohammad Yusof and Singapore Minister for Communication and Information S Iswaran.
Also present were a representative from the High Commission of Singapore in Brunei Darussalam as well as senior officials from both ministries.
The performance was divided into seven segments starting with a dance performance from Cultural Beat, followed by InTrend, Artist Spotlight, We are One, Band Hitz, Pilihan and Finale.
Artistes representing Brunei last night were Sri Nazrina, Juan Madial, Rizal Rashid, Ezah Hashim, Syafiqah Rosli and Auf Ismail who shared the stage with artistes from Singapore namely Sufi Rashid, Aisyah Aziz, Isnina, Norshfiq and Ryan Sufiyan.
The show was broadcast live last night on Mediacorp Suria and RTB Aneka, RTB Sukmaindera and Nasional FM as well as live from YouTube.
Rapsodi is one of the projects under the Technical Committee Meeting with a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in the field of Broadcasting and Information signed between the governments of Brunei Darussalam and the Republic of Singapore.
