A DELEGATION from the Brunei Islamic Religious Council (MUIB) on Monday visited the homes of four individuals in the Brunei-Muara District, who are in need of assistive equipment.
Acting Secretary of MUIB Haji Abdul Aziz bin Haji Akop led the delegation.
Their first stop was the house of Sudarmagi bin Mohammad at STKRJ Kampong Lumapas to present him with a continuous positive airway pressure (C-PAP) machine for his asthma condition. The MUIB officials then visited the residence of Muhammad Isa bin Haji Mohammad Jublee in Jalan Lebuhraya Tungku Jerudong, Kampong Sengkurong ‘B’.
Muhammad Isa, who is bedridden after a stroke, received a wheelchair and a mattress from the Acting Secretary of MUIB.
The delegation then proceeded to the house of Zapedi bin Bujang in Tanjong Nangka to present him with a phlegm suction machine and a wheelchair.
A former member of the armed forces, Zapedi has been in poor health after being afflicted with a stroke while on duty.
The final stop was at the residence of Asmah binti Haji Puteh in STKRJ Kampong Lugu to present her a C-PAP machine for her breathing problems.
The donated equipment totalled BND6,325, which was taken from the Zakat funds for the poor and the destitute.
