THE Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) has confirmed that a 37-year-old woman died, while two others are in serious condition, following a car crash at the Telisai-Lumut Highway on Saturday.
The RBPF said that the accident occurred at 11.50am near one of the U-turn spots leading out to Lumut.
The woman, a front seat passenger in the black sedan car, suffered severe head injuries and was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Police said that the driver of the car, a 37-year-old local man, was left with injuries to his left ear, a scratch on the right arm and pain in the chest.
The rear seat passenger, a local 31-year-old woman, was taken to the Intensive Care of the Suri Seri Begawan Hospital in Belait, after sustaining bruises to her ribs, a broken right arm, a cut on the right eye, an upper lip injury and a wound on the forehead.
The police are still investigating the cause of the accident.
