MINISTER of Culture, Youth and Sports Major General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Awang Haji Aminuddin Ihsan bin Pehin Orang Kaya Saiful Mulok Dato Seri Paduka Haji Abidin, yesterday expressed the hope that members of the Executive Committee for the 35th Brunei Darussalam National Day Celebration in 2019, will work together in ensuring its success, with added value for the local communities.
The minister made the remark during the Second Meeting of the Executive Committee for the 35th Brunei Darussalam National Day Celebration, at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports.
The minister, who is the chair of the Executive Committee for the 35th Brunei Darussalam National Day Celebration, also said, “With only 74 days remaining before the 35th Brunei Darussalam National Day Celebration, I believe that all of the involved committee and agencies will continue to play their roles in ensuring its success.”
Yesterday’s meeting discussed the recorded minutes of the first meeting and the selection of a logo for the National Day Celebration, together with reports on the current status of preparation and festive side-activities.
Also in attendance were Principal of the Brunei History Centre Pehin Jawatan Dalam Seri Maharaja Dato Seri Utama (Dr) Haji Awang Mohd Jamil Al-Sufri bin Begawan Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Seri Paduka Haji Awang Umar, Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs Pengiran Dato Seri Paduka Haji Bahrom bin Pengiran Haji Bahar, Commissioner of the Royal Brunei Police Force Dato Paduka Seri Haji Mohd Jammy bin Haji Muhd Shah Al-Islam, representatives of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces; permanent secretaries; deputy permanent secretaries; and members of the Executive Committee for the 35th Brunei Darussalam National Day Celebration.
