HER Royal Highness Paduka Seri Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Sarah binti Pengiran Haji Salleh Ab Rahaman yesterday morning took part in the Brunei Open Orienteering Competition, Radio Television Brunei (RTB) reported.
Yang Teramat Mulia Pengiran Muda ‘Abdul Muntaqim ibni Duli Yang Teramat Mulia Paduka Seri Pengiran Muda Mahkota Pengiran Muda Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah and other members of the royal family were also present at the competition held at the Bumiputera Complex in Pekan Bangar, Temburong District.
Some 40 people from five countries namely Brunei Darussalam, Malaysia, Singapore, Germany and the United Kingdom took part in the competition organised by non-profit organisation Brunei Darussalam Challenge, Adventure, Recreation and Educate (CARE) Association.
The recreation sport requires a good balance between physical and mental coordination, where its participants must find signs from one control marker to another guided by maps and compass directions within a set time.
At the conclusion of the event, Her Royal Highness presented prizes to the winners.
Malaysia’s UiTM Team emerged as the overall champion.
