YAYASAN Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah presented contributions in the form of school essentials to 360 students from 119 less fortunate families at the Yayasan Complex in Bandar Seri Begawan yesterday.
Yayasan Managing Director Dato Paduka Eddie bin Dato Paduka Haji Sunny presented the contributions.
The contributions were held in line with Yayasan’s establishment objective in always taking care of the welfare and well-being of the nation’s people, especially the less fortunate.
The contributions presented were in the form of coupons for students to purchase school essentials such as exercise books. The primary students received BND73 while the secondary students received BND84.
The contribution was the second phase. The first phase was carried out last Tuesday for 356 students from 124 less fortunate families.
The third phase will be held tomorrow for 356 students from 124 less fortunate families.
The contributions of the school essentials served as a platform to take care of the less fortunate students’ education needs while easing the families’ burdens in preparing their children’s school needs for academic year 2019.
