A FILIPINO family embraced the Islamic faith in a recent conversion ceremony held at their private residence in Jalan Binglu Selatan, RPN Kampong Tanah Jambu.
Rosalie Sumaljag Germano, 43, together with her three sons – Eric Chia Chien Voon, 13, David Ong Germano, nine, and Michael Chia Chiew Hee, six – recited the formal declaration of the Syahadah in the presence of several Islamic Da’wah Centre officers.
From January to November this year, 359 people embraced the Islamic faith, with 187 being from the Brunei-Muara District.
Last year, there were 409 new Muslim converts across the country.
