MD AZIM is the last Bruneian standing at the Borneo Open 10-Ball Pool Championship in Inanam, Kota Kinabalu, Sabah.
Md Azim qualified into top 16 after he made a comeback from 3-8 to edge Sabah’s Casper Chin 9-8. Md Azim then beat fellow teammate Md Khalid 5-9 to qualify into the top 8. Earlier, Md Khalid defeated Raymund Liew of Sarawak 9-3.
In other top 16 games, Alias was beaten by Sam Loh after he qualified earlier by beating Lim Wei Fong of Labuan 9-5. Haji Khairuddin lost 4-9 to Labuan’s Domineck Lee.
Pengiran Faiq lost 9-7 to Rashid Samy of Sabah. Haji Md Haikal qualified into the top 16 after defeating Bruneian Md Amir Hassan 9-5, but lost to Dominic Ting 2-9 in the top 16.
