RBPF holds religious ceremony to mark 98th Police Day celebration

IN CONJUNCTION with the 98th Police Day celebration, the Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) held a Doa Kesyukuran ceremony at the Surau of the RBPF Headquarters in Gadong and simultaneously in the Belait District yesterday.

Commissioner of the RBPF Dato Paduka Seri Haji Mohd Jammy bin Haji Muhd Shah Al-Islam was the guest of honour for the ceremony in Gadong.

The ceremony began with the mass Sunnat Hajat prayer followed by the recitation of Surah Yaasiin, Tahlil, Doa Peliharakan Sultan dan Negara Brunei Darussalam and Doa Kesyukuran led by the Imam of the Surau of the RBPF Headquarters Pengiran Haji Ludin bin Pengiran Haji Metahir.

During the event, all attendees prayed for the blessings from Allah the Almighty in preventing and curbing crimes, as well as to avoid challenges and accidents while carrying out their daily duties.

RBPF directors, senior officers and officers as well as RBPF personnel; former police commissioners, Retired Personnel of the Royal Brunei Police Force Association (POLSARA) members, village heads and invited guests were also present.

In the Belait District, the ceremony was attended by Deputy Commissioner of the RBPF Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Mohammad Irwan bin Haji Hambali as the guest of honour. He was joined by RBPF officers and personnel from the Belait District.
