A CEREMONY was held for a donation of BND12,000 from International Rabithah Alumni Al-Azhar Brunei Darussalam to the Sulawesi Disaster Humanitarian Fund (TKBS) yesterday at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports (MCYS) building.
According to a press release, the donation was presented by Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Religious Affairs Dato Seri Setia Haji Abdul Aziz bin Orang Kaya Maharaja Lela Haji Yussof who is also the Raes of International Rabithah Alumni Al-Azhar Brunei Darussalam to Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports Major General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Awang Haji Aminuddin Ihsan bin Pehin Orang Kaya Saiful Mulok Dato Seri Paduka Haji Abidin.
Acting Managing Director of Hani Marzuqi Car Rental Sdn Bhd Pengiran Haji Abdul Rahman bin Pengiran Dato Paduka Haji Jaludin also presented a donation of BND1,000 to the Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports.
Among those to witness the presentation of the donations were Permanent Secretary at the MCYS Datin Paduka Dr Hajah Norlila binti Dato Paduka Haji Abdul Jalil; Rector of Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali and Vice Raes of International Rabithah Alumni Al-Azhar Brunei Darussalam Dr Haji Norarfan bin Haji Zainal; Acting Director of Community Development Siti Saihalina binti Pengiran Haji Md Daud; and representatives from the alumni and companies, as well as senior officials of the MCYS.
The closing deadline for TKBS is Monday, January 7.
