THE Brunei Malay Teachers Association (PGGMB) hosted an award ceremony to honour 35 students who achieved 5As in the 2018 Primary School Assessment (PSR) Examination among PGGMB schools.
Two students – Mohammad Danish Hamizan bin Mohammad Saiful Rizal of Tunas Jaya PGGMB School, Madang and Nurul Syasya binti Mohammad Yusop of Tunas Jaya PGGMB School, Kuala Belait – were awarded the Tunas Pelajar Harapan (the Most Outstanding Achiever Award) in recognition of their outstanding academic excellence and activities at the PGGMB’s headquarters.
The guest of honour Director of Curriculum Development at the Ministry of Education Haji Zulkefli bin Haji Mohd Yusof presented the awards, certificates of appreciation and cash prizes to the students.
Also present at the ceremony were President of PGGMB Haji Antin bin Ahad, executive members of the association as well as invited guests.
The award ceremony was a form of recognition from PGGMB for students’ academic achievement on the national level, as well as to encourage students to strive harder in their academic studies.
