A WOODEN house located at No 106, Kampong Pekan Lama, Kampong Ayer collapsed yesterday.
The house residents, a Malay couple and two children, are unharmed.
The cause of the incident is still under investigation, while estimated losses are yet to be determined.
According to the Fire and Rescue Department (FRD), five personnel led by Officer-in-Charge of Pelancaran Fire Station, DSO Ibrahim, and one fireboat were rushed to the scene after a distress call was received at 10.15am.
Upon arrival at the scene, the firefighters found that the wooden house had completely collapsed. The dwelling was built with wooden walls, concrete posts and Spandex roofing, measuring 10 metres long and seven metres wide.
The belongings of the house owners have been moved to a safe location by the FRD personnel.
