TWO Ibans embraced Islam during a conversion ceremony at the residence of Md Hisa bin Abdullah at No 40, Simpang 406, Kampong Bebatik, Masin yesterday.
Shahrolazmi anak Suliman and Erra Fadzley anak Simpai embraced Islam in the presence of an Islamic conversion officer of the Dakwah Propagation Division at the Islamic Da’wah Centre.
The two new converts chosen Islamic names are Md Shahrolazmi bin Suliman and Muhammad Fadzley bin Abdullah Simpai.
Minister of Defence II Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof was the guest of honour.
Officers and family members were also present.
According to the Islamic Da’wah Centre, 404 Muslim conversions were recorded last year, compared to 2017 when 409 people converted to Islam.
