THE Islamic Religious Council presented tithe to victims of house fires in Kampong Bolkiah ‘A’, RPN Kampong Meragang and a collapsed house in Kampong Pekan Lama during a ceremony at the Ministry of Religious Affairs yesterday.
The money was taken from the provisions of tithe fund for the poor and destitute category.
Acting Secretary of the Brunei Islamic Religious Council Haji Abdul Aziz bin Haji Akop presented the tithe. Kampong Bolkiah ‘A’ fire victims Haij Md Yusof bin Haji Mursidi along with his spouse and three children received BND2,600 while Kampong Meragang fire victims Haji Abu Bakar bin Haji Abd Wahab along with his spouse and two grandchildren received BND800 and school equipment.
Meanwhile, Kampong Pekan Lama house collapse victims Md Nur Faidhi bin Omar along with his wife and two children received BND800.
