DPMM FC continued their relentless pursuit for the DST Premier League title in their debut season after an emphatic 9-0 victory over Jerudong FC at the Jerudong Park Mini Stadium yesterday.
DPMM FC, the ‘B’ side to the team competing in the Singapore Premier League may have just joined Brunei’s second tier this season but their victory over Jerudong were their fifth in a row.
It is also a fifth game that they have not conceded a goal while rising star Md Hakeme Yazid bin Said further enhanced his reputation as a lethal goal-scorer after his second consecutive brace lifted his league haul to eight this season.
Nevertheless, the younger sibling of famed stars Shahrazen and Adi was overshadowed by the displays of the returning Abdul Azizi bin Ali Rahman after scoring five goals.
The DPMM FC striker, who netted a hat-trick in the Singapore Premier League last season, also rose in the scoring charts with seven, one behind his strike partner.
DPMM FC midfielder Imam Mahdi bin Suhaimi also joined in the act with a brace in the rout.
